Expressive nose of black fruits mixed with dark cocoa and roasted coffee, lifted by violet and spice. On the palate, it’s supple and smooth, with generous red fruits at the core. Polished acidity brings freshness, while fine-grained, tea-like tannins, a signature of South Clos, add gentle structure and poise, carrying through to a long, graceful finish.
Sourced 100% from the South Clos Vineyard. Destemmed, no crushing, then cold soaked for 3-5 days. Fermentation took place entirely in large tonneau, followed by 100% malolactic fermentation in barrel. Aged for 18 months in French oak, 20% new.
Food Pairing: Ideal with rich, savoury dishes such as braised beef risotto, grilled rib steak, roasted root vegetables, or herb-crusted roast leg of lamb.
