2021 South Clos Pinot Noir

VQA Prince Edward County

A delicate nose showing cherries, florals and spices mixed with strawberry compote, earth and herbs. Bright red fruits and integrated earth tones carry over to the palate, followed by refreshing acid and solid tannic structure on an evolving finish.

Sourced entirely from our South Clos vineyard. Destemmed with no crushing and cold soaked for 3-5 days. Fermented in 60hL oak tonneau then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 20% new. Full malolactic fermentation in barrel.

"It's so well balanced and succulent, with that hallmark PEC cool, stony character, very fine, silky tannins and a structure based firmly on acids, comfortably ripe as they are... A finely-hewn and stylish wine all in all."
-John Szabo, MS (

"This lovely pinot is from the oldest vines on the property, now approaching 25 years, and there is an extra measure of weight and fruit depth, comparing to the Churchside and Vineyard bottlings."
-David Lawrason (
