2023 Danforth Ridge Pinot Noir

$45

VQA Prince Edward County

Notes of bright red fruit, smoky spice, delicate fruit blossoms, and earthy undertones rise from the glass. The palate is full and expressive, with layers of red berries, dried herbs, florals, and a subtle hint of forest floor. Fine tannins and vibrant acidity carry through to a finish of red cherry skin, offering impressive depth and balance.

Sourced entirely from the Danforth Ridge Vineyard. The grapes were destemmed, not crushed, and cold-soaked for 3–5 days. Fermentation took place exclusively in 600L puncheons, followed by full malolactic fermentation in barrel. The wine was aged for 18 months in a mix of 80% seasoned French oak and 20% stainless steel barrels.

Food Pairing: Perfect alongside classic comfort fare such as pasta in a rich red sauce, grilled sausages, or a grilled vegetable panini with aged Canadian cheddar.
