2019 Churchside Chardonnay

VQA Prince Edward County 

Ripe peach with hints of apricot, roasted hazelnuts and wet wool open on the nose. Florals, lanolin, and apple crumble lead to a round precise mouth of fruit, barrel, and minerality all woven together. Flint and plush fruit are expressed in the finish, which is long and evolving.

Sourced entirely from our Churchside estate vineyard. Whole cluster pressed then 100% barrel fermented in 20% new oak, 80% seasoned.

This is a vibrant, complex chardonnay loaded with hazelnut, sunflower seed, peach stone, subtle creme brulee and dried cedar notes. It is light to medium bodied, brisk but not tart, with classic stony County limestone bracing the finish. Excellent to outstanding focus and length."
